Yes it is true. The White Stripes are no more. Jack and Meg have parted ways. She walks to the left. He walks to the right. So this news is 15 days late but I had to take some time off since the announcement of their break-up. It was just too painful. Teardrops everywhere. Gasps of disappointment. Random nervous break-downs at H-E-B. Just kidding about the dramatic stuff. Anyways, I thought that the White Stripes made a nice little farewell statement. In the words of my friend Tina... it's a sweet goodbye. Here it is:

"The White Stripes do not belong to Meg and Jack anymore. The White Stripes belong to you now and you can do with it whatever you want. The beauty of art and music is that it can last forever if people want it to. Thank you for sharing this experience. Your involvement will never be lost on us and we are truly grateful."
